In a relaxed environment, Hayley from Bramley Pottery, will guide you through the process of making this gorgeous ceramic bird feeder with a beautiful patterned exterior - no previous experience is necessary.
On arrival, guests will have an opportunity to have tea, coffee and refreshments and to meet the other members of the workshop.
This fabulous bird feeder is made in two parts and then put together with jute rope ready to hang in the garden. The domed roof can be removed with ease so that you can fill up the feeder with bird seed. There are two small bird perches on either side. The bird feeder sits 20cm high.... and 40cms when hanging from the jute rope in the tree.
Once your bird feeder has dried she will fire them in her kiln and then glaze it for you in a celadon colour of your choice.
The pottery journey takes time, so there will be a wait after the workshop to receive your pieces as this will allow time for them to dry, to be bisque fired, glazed and re-fired.
Once finished they can be collected from her studio in Ballinger.
Make sure you bring an apron and messy clothing to the workshop, Hayley will provide all the tools you need to make your pottery.
This workshop accommodates 12 people.
