Have you ever wanted to give the potter’s wheel a spin? Maybe there’s an inner potter in you just waiting to be discovered!
I offer private pottery wheel workshops from my cosy log cabin studio in South Buckinghamshire, near Great Missenden.
During this 2-hour session, you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of wheel throwing, learning how to centre clay and create simple forms with even wall thickness. As your confidence grows, most students typically make between four and six pieces during their session.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll choose your preferred glaze colours. I’ll take care of the finishing process for you, once your pieces have dried and been bisque fired.
The pottery process takes time, so you can expect your finished pieces to be ready for collection approximately 4–6 weeks after your session.
Once the session has been booked and paid for, the full address of the studio will be given to you with clear directions.
